After graduating from Smith College, Christine LeBel obtained her law degree from Vermont Law School, concurrently receiving a master's degree, cum laude, in environmental law. She is admitted in Massachusetts and California. She worked for private firms for several years, then joined the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, where, in 2016, she became the Chief Regional Counsel in DEP’s Western Regional Office. She has long been active in ABA SEER, including involvement in Council and the NR&E editorial board. In her non-law-related time, she writes fiction, pursues the finer points of swing dancing, and advocates for foster children.
