Scott Martin is a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig's New York office. He focuses his practice in the areas of antitrust and complex commercial litigation, and specifically has been instrumental in the defense of many of the most significant antitrust class actions and civil and criminal international cartel cases of the past decade . His experience extends to bench and jury trials in federal and state courts, complex federal multidistrict actions, class actions involving direct and indirect purchasers, parens patriae cases, FTC and DOJ investigations as well as other regulatory actions, foreign discovery proceedings and qui tam litigation. He also regularly counsels entities across a wide range of industries on pricing, distribution, competitive intelligence, joint ventures, and various other competition issues. He has been identified for years as a leading antitrust lawyer by Chambers USA, as well as The Best Lawyers in America, SuperLawyers and others, and is frequently called upon to speak and publish. A Fellow of the American Bar Foundation who has also been active in the ABA Section of Antitrust Law for many years, he currently serves as Co-Chair of its Trial Practice Committee, on the Editorial Board of its Antitrust Law Developments treatise, and on its Civil Redress Task Force. He also is a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Section. He graduated, with honors, from Stanford University and Stanford Law School, where he was a member of the Stanford Law Review.
