Formerly a partner at Jones Day in Washington, D.C., Andrew Ness is now a neutral at JAMS.  He serves as arbitrator, mediator, DRB member, project neutral and accepts other neutral engagements such as independent evaluations.  Andrew is a construction lawyer with 40 years of widely varied experience with troubled projects and highly complex construction and design-related problems. He served as lead counsel for numerous large construction disputes that were resolved in federal and state courts, boards of contract appeals, and via arbitration, prior to joining JAMS. He has been deeply involved in large projects varying from hospitals to DOE radioactive waste processing facilities to power plants and petrochemical plants. Mr. Ness has been repeatedly recognized for his work in Chambers, USA and Best Lawyers in America. He is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and a former Chair of the ABA Forum on Construction Law
