David Gurnick is with the Lewitt Hackman firm in Los Angeles, California, representing clients in all aspects of franchise and distribution law and related litigation. He is certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in Franchising and Distribution Law. David is the author of Distribution Law of the United States, a treatise on laws and considerations in distributing products in the United States, and Franchising Depositions, a treatise on taking and defending depositions in franchising cases. He is a frequent panelist at the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising and the International Franchise Association Legal Symposium. David previously served on the editorial board of the American Bar Association Franchise Law Journal. He is a past president of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and past chair of its Business Law Section and Litigation Section. David is currently on the board of directors of the Valley Bar Mediation Center, a charity that provides low cost mediation and dispute resolution services.
