RICHARD D. WILLIAMSON is a partner with Robertson, Johnson, Miller and Williamson in Reno, Nevada. He is admitted to the state bars of Nevada and California as well as several federal courts including the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Williamson received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of San Diego. He received his J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2005, where he was Managing Editor of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
Mr. Williamson has represented clients in numerous jury trials, bench trials, arbitration hearings, mediations, and administrative proceedings. His clients include publicly-traded corporations, other large companies, small businesses, and individuals. He is the author of several published articles on topics such as commercial leasing and civil litigation procedure and has presented educational seminars to groups of other lawyers and to non-legal professionals.
Mr. Williamson is currently a member of the Washoe County Bar Association, and an active member of the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) and the ABA Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division (GPSolo). He also contributes a great deal of his time to volunteer activities, including the State Bar of Nevada’s Northern Nevada Disciplinary Board, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Washoe County Law Library’s “Lawyer in the Library” program. Mr. Williamson has previously served as a member of the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, the Western Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Inns of Court.
Mr. Williamson began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Brent Adams of the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada. His practice now focuses on Real Estate Law and Complex Civil Litigation.
