David Mallen is a partner and co-chair of Loeb & Loeb's Advertising Disputes practice. He represents clients in connection with national advertising campaigns, consumer protection law, analysis of claim substantiation issues, social media and resolution of advertising disputes. Mr. Mallen is an experienced trial lawyer with expertise representing clients in all phases of litigation in state and federal court and in alternative dispute resolution. As former Deputy Director of the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Mr. Mallen has extensive inside experience working with advertisers to both defend and challenge claims before the NAD and other industry self-regulatory bodies.
Mr. Mallen has particular expertise providing legal guidance on the advertising of food and beverages, OTC drugs, telecommunication services, consumer household products, dietary supplements, information technology and environmental marketing. In addition to counseling clients on these issues, he is also a popular speaker and lecturer at conferences and workshops on advertising claim substantiation, U.S. standards for industry self-regulation, sustainability and green marketing, and scientific sensory testing.
