Gregg Herman is a shareholder with the law firm of Loeb & Herman, S.C., which practices exclusively family law, concentrating in cases with significant assets or income. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and 1977 graduate of the University of Wisconsin law school.
From 1977 to 1984, Gregg was an Assistant District Attorney for Milwaukee County, prosecuting nearly 100 jury trials ranging from white-collar crime to First Degree Murder. He joined Leonard Loeb in the practice of family law in October, 1984.
Gregg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is on its Board of Governors (2012-2015). He is Board Certified in Family Law Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trail Advocacy. He is the Court Commissioner for Branch 46 of the Milwaukee County Circuit Courts, serving the Hon. Bonnie Gordon.
Gregg was chair of the American Bar Association Family Law Section from August 2007 through August 2008. He was also the Founder of the Cooperative Divorce Institute, Inc. and served as its first chair from 2003-2005 and the founder of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin, Inc. and its first State-wide Chair from 2000 to 2001.
Gregg Herman is co-author of The System Book for Family Law published by the State Bar of Wisconsin and is a contributing editor to the American Journal of Family Law. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Journal of Family Law from 2002 to 2004 and has been the editor of three editions of 101+ Practical Solutions for the Family Lawyer and The Joy of Settlement, both published by the ABA Family Law Section.
Gregg received the "Leader in the Law" award by the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2007 and was the recipient of the 2003 Chairs award from the ABA Family Law Section for "meritorious service exceeding what is expected of our leadership."
