Solo Lawyer By Design

Gary Bauer

Professor of Law, WMU Thomas M. Cooley Law School

Check out and subscribe to my blog; I have extensive experience in assisting students

and grads in exploring their opportunities to practice law as solo practitioners in a manner that is well grounded

in sound business principles, time management techniques, updated technical systems and marketing their

practice for financial success. My background teaching estate planning to third year law students in a clinical

setting allows me to help those practitioners to see the potential to develop specialized practices which address

the types of problems clients face as they prepare their estate plans to avoid difficulties in the execution of

those plans later on. I love what I do and the students are the best part of my practice.

Manual Round Hay Bale Wrapper US 8,453,423 B2 June 4, 2013

United States Patent US 8,453,423 B2 Issued June 4, 2013

Inventors: Gary Bauer

This is a machine to allow a single individual to manually wrap round hay bales with any type of film or net

wrap. It allows the operator to position a round bale suspended on a bale spear and centered within the bale

wrap ring to turn the ring which contains the wrap material clockwise or counterclockwise about the bale

as the wrap covers the bale about its circumference. The ring can also be moved left and right to ensure full

coverage of the bale in spite of widths and the ring is large enough to accommodate bales of any diameter up

to six foot and can be easily adapted to bales of even larger diameter if round balers are produced in excess

of six foot in diameter.

1 person has recommended Gary

"I met Gary Bauer while he was a professor and coordinator of Cooley's 60-Plus Legal Clinic where I was an

attorney intern. He was a thoughtful mentor who led a group of approximately ten attorneys through clinical

training in matters of will-writing, POAs, and other civil matters, and helped us interns hone counseling skills

and develop law office management procedures. His advice has served me well and I owe him much thanks."
