Susan Guthrie, recently named as a 2018 Top Attorney in the USA in the fields of Family Law and Mediation by Lawyers of Distinction, is a divorce innovation specialist focused on helping couples to divorce and separate in a respectful and efficient manner.  In her almost 30 years of practice she has worked with thousands of individuals and families, helping them to navigate their way through the difficult process of divorce in order to move forward with their lives in the best way possible.  For over 25 years, Susan litigated family law cases, specializing in high net worth and high conflict matters and her practice is now centered on the non-adversarial approaches to divorce.

Susan, along with her co-host, fellow top attorney Rebecca Zung, recently launched the iTunes Top 10 Podcast, Breaking Free: A Modern Divorce Podcast which provides a fresh perspective on the divorce process and is revolutionizing the conversation about divorce.  You can listen to and download the podcast here

An an online mediation expert, Susan trains other mediators, attorney and professionals on the practical and ethical use of the online platform for providing mediation services allowing for a greater client base and more convenience for both the professional and the clients.  Susan provides one-on-one and group training through her company, Learn to Mediate Online.

In addition to her business endeavors, Susan is the incoming 2019 Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution's Mediation Committee.  She is also an editor of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s E-Magazine “Just Resolutions” and is on the Planning Committee and Faculty for the ABA Annual Advanced Mediation Institute.   Susan is the on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA) and serves as Chairman of the Communications Committee and as a member of the Planning Committee for the SCMA’s Family Mediation Institute.  She regularly presents at legal industry events and works with fellow family law professionals to enhance their negotiation and settlement skills through workshops and presentations.
