Bio

Professor Sokol focuses his scholarship on antitrust issues.  Sokol has provided technical assistance and capacity building to antitrust agencies and utilities regulators from around the world.  He serves as a non-governmental advisor International Competition Network. He also serves on the executive committee of the Association of American Law Schools' Section on Antitrust and Economic Regulation (Chair elect) and is active in the ABA Section of Antitrust Law as a vice chair of Membership and Equal Opportunity Committee, the ABA Section of Intellectual Propert Law as the chair of the Antitrust Committee and the Hispanic National Bar Association.

He is co-editor of the Global Competition Law and Economics book series (Stanford U. Press), and of the Oxford Handbook of International Antitrust Economics (Oxford U. Press, forthcoming). He also is editor of the Antitrust and Competition Policy blog. His work has been published in law reviews, including the Northwestern Law Review, Michigan Law Review, and Southern California Law Review, and peer-reviewed publications, such as the Antitrust Law Journal and Journal of Competition Law and Economics.
