Bio

Arthur Peabody, Jr. practices health law and mediation and arbitration in his own law firm in Alexandria, Virginia.  Previously he served as the Assistant General Counsel for Medicare for the BlueCross BlueShield Association. Earlier, he practiced for many years at the U.S. Department of Justice where he served as an Assistant United States Attorney and a member of the Senior Executive Service with responsibility for a high-profile civil rights program. A renowned litigator, he has litigated some of the most complicated and controversial cases on federal court dockets across the nation. Likewise, he has resolved many difficult cases, meeting personally with Attorneys General and Governors of states to develop mutually agreed-upon remedies to address some of society's most vexing problems. Mr. Peabody has traveled to 46 states, appeared in 34 different federal district courts, and been featured in the media - including NBC Nightly News, the Washington Post, and other leading legal publications. Arthur is a graduate of Northeastern University, cum laude; he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Cornell Law School.  edited  February 2016
