Henry L. Hecht is a member of the faculty of the University of California,Berkeley, School of Law, and co-founder of The Hecht Training Group, consultants on skillstraining for lawyers (www.HechtTrainingGroup.com).
From 1973 to 1983, he had an active litigationpractice, first with the Watergate Special Prosecution Force as an AssistantSpecial Prosecutor and then with Heller Ehrman in San Francisco as Special Counsel. Since 1983, in addition to teaching at the Law School, he has designed and conducted in-house training programs on litigationskills for more than sixty-five law firms, corporate law offices, governmentagencies, and bar associations across the country.
He has lectured and written extensively forthe American Bar Association (ABA), the American Law Institute (ALI), California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), the Practising Law Institute (PLI), and the National Practice Institute (NPI). He is an elected member ofthe American Law Institute (ALI) and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation(ABF).
Among his publications is EffectiveDepositions 2nd ed., published by the ABA in 2010.
