CHARLES M. SINK is a partner at Farella Braun & Martel LLP in San Francisco. He is part of its Construction Practice Group and former chair of its Complex Litigation Department. He has 30 years of commercial litigation experience, largely involving construction and insurance-related issues. He has served as an arbitrator (over 50 cases with AAA and the Office of Administrative Hearings) and as a mediator. He represents private owners, public entities, architects and engineers, and EPC contractors. Mr. Sink is a member of the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry, and is the editor of its quarterly, The Construction Lawyer. Some publications he has co-authored include: False Claims in Construction Contracts: Federal, State, and Local (ABA 2007); Construction Damages and Remedies (ABA 2004); The A201 Deskbook: Understanding the Revised General Conditions (ABA 1998); ADR: A Practical Guide to Resolve Construction Disputes (AAA 1994); and "Indirect, Consequential, and Punitive Damages" in Construction Law Handbook (Aspen 1999). He has taught several classes on construction contracts and on dispute resolution. Mr. Sink is recognized as one of the leading construction attorneys in California by Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University and received his J.D. in 1977 from Hastings College of the Law, University of California.
