Amy L. Edwards is a partner in Holland & Knight's public policy & regulation group, where she is co-chair of the firm's national environment team. She has been practicing environmental and energy law for more than 35 years. She routinely counsels developers, lenders and corporations about effective strategies for structuring real estate and corporate transactions to minimize environmental and financial risk. She also counsels clients on climate change and sustainability issues and represents companies in enforcement proceedings. She developed first-of-its-kind guidance on institutional controls in 2000 as chair of the ASTM Task Group on Institutional Controls. She was an observer/advisor to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws during its development of the Uniform Environmental Covenants Act. Ms. Edwards is the Chair of the ABA Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources and a former member of the board of directors of the Environmental Law Institute.
