Arthur Burke is a partner in Davis Polk’s Litigation Department in New York and Menlo Park, California. He represents clients in a variety of antitrust, securities, corporate governance and general litigation matters. In his antitrust practice, he advises clients on the competition law aspects of mergers and acquisitions and represents clients in investigations of mergers undertaken by federal antitrust authorities pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. Mr. Burke’s recent representations include advising Comcast Corporation in ongoing DOJ and FCC investigations of its $45 billion acquisition of Time Warner Cable and representing Bank of America in an ongoing MDL antitrust litigation alleging a conspiracy to manipulate LIBOR interest rates and a separate MDL alleging a conspiracy relating to credit default swaps. Mr. Burke has long been active in the ABA Section of Antitrust Law, and is currently Chair of the Section’s Media & Technology Committee. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude, and both his B.A. and B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude.
