Bio

Professor Gebbia chairs the American Bar Association Business Law Section Working Group on White Collar Crime, Asset Forfeiture and Business Bankruptcy, a project of the Business Bankruptcy Committee and the Committee on Bankruptcy Court Structure and Insolvency Processes. She also serves on the Business Law Section Publications Board, and as ABA Business Law Section Business Bankruptcy Committee Publications Director and Publications Subcommittee chair. She had been published widely, lectured extensively and planned conferences and programs on topics relating to bankruptcy and business restructuring. She has been teaching business reorganizations and commercial transactions at Golden Gate University School of Law since 2009. Previously, she was a tenured full professor at the University of Hawai`i School of Law, where she taught courses across the commercial law and bankruptcy law curriculum. She has received several teaching awards, including the prestigious UH Board of Regents Medal for Excellence in Teaching. She has served three times on the faculty of the Association of American Law Schools Workshop for New Law Teachers.
