Elizabeth D. Rodriguez is the Senior Counsel for Research and Intellectual Property for the University of Massachusetts specializing in intellectual property, technology licensing, patent litigation management and research matters. She is the Chair of the ABA University Intellectual Property Law Committee of the IPL Section. She is the incoming Vice Chair of Division IV of the Intellectual Property Law Section. She is a member of the IPL Section CLE Program Board and Membership Board. She is the lead editor and author of a Intellectual Property Law Section book, “The Technology Transfer Law Handbook,” being released in August 2014. Prior to joining UMass in 2005, Liz was in private practice in Washington, D.C. for ten years where she served as outside corporate, securities and licensing counsel to high technology, IT and life sciences companies. Ms. Rodriguez earned her Juris Doctorate Degree and a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan in 1993 and Bachelor of Arts Degree Cum Laude from Yale University in 1989. She is a member of the bar of MA, MD and DC.
