My law practice focuses on the defense of corporate clients in litigation regarding chemical exposure, employment law claims and commercial disputes. My clients appreciate my skill and expertise in complex case management, eDiscovery, and the use of legal technology.
I have been in practice since 1992, and have been an attorney at Nilan Johnson Lewis since the firm was founded in 1996. Nilan Johnson Lewis has built its reputation by putting clients first, building a practice centered on excellence and defining the next generation of law firm. The firm focuses on five areas of practice: labor and employment, business law, product liability/mass tort litigation, commercial litigation, and health law/consulting.
I am a dedicated member and leader in a number of bar associations, including service as President of the 8,000+ member Hennepin County Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Foundation and National Conference of Bar Foundations. I currently serve in several positions in the American Bar Asociation, including as Columns Editor of Law Practice Magazine and Book Committee Co-Chair and Social Media Co-Chair of the Mass Torts Committee.
I am also an active participant in the non-profit community, including as current Chair of the MCPASD Education Foundation Board and Secretary of the Middleton Public Library Board of Trustees. In the past, I served on the Boards of the Minnesota Chorale, Minnesota Urban Debate League, and the Wells Foundation, and was Co-Chair of a successful $2.8 million capital campaign for St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral.
I am admitted to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. I have also practiced in numerous other states, including New York, Ohio, California, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Missouri and Florida.
